Hummer H2 4x4
You can book tours to the West Rim by Helicopter, Plane, Bus, Jeep, SUV and Hummer. We elected to try the Hummer first.
The Hummer H2 4x4 can accommodate 6 medium-large sized (155-225 lbs.) individuals comfortably, and all forward facing. Ours was perfectly clean both inside and out, with no offensive, smoking or fragrant odors inside. All seats provided a good forward, left and right view.

The vehicle had an entertainment system comprised of a DVD player and two LCD screens: one mounted on the passenger-side visor and a pull-down centered on the headliner. All seats had an equal advantage to view the screens. Several documentary videos were available that provided a perspective on the Grand Canyon's geography, history, biology and geology. This collection was augmented by several vintage western movies that could be requested for viewing. We watched some of them on our return trip. It was a nice way to unwind and relax.
The guide wore a cordless microphone that was integrated into the Hummer's sound system. It provided just enough amplification to be useful and not overbearing.
The vehicle was exceptional both on the road and off, with full-time 4 wheel drive providing a comfortable and reassuring ride.
The fuel tank was full, and the vehicle was properly licensed and insured.
